Soft and Sweet {Newborn Photography Seattle Tacoma Puyallup}

Hadley was my first newborn photography client after my summer mentoring session with Robin Long, an award winning photographer in Salem, OR.  One of the things I took away from Robin’s workshop was that it is totaly possible to use a bit of color and still stay true to my style.  I was so excited to have baby Hadley come to the studio.  I had all these great new colors to try.  I feel like a door has been opened and I feel creative again.  Hadley is the first little princess to take advantage of my little “ahh haa” moment.  In the last week I have added a bunch of soft, beautiful colors to the studio for little girls (now I need to turn my focus to adding some great boy colors).

I was nervous, I have to admit to step a little outside my comfort zone.  All that anxiety was washed away the moment I downloaded Hadley’s session.  These soft colors and tones couldn’t have been more perfect for her.  She has such porcelain skin, it was meant to be wrapped in pastels!  If you are a big fan, and follow my work, you will also notice the bonnet is new.  I have really struggled with adding bonnets to my studio prop collection.  They are so beautiful, but I worry that they would detract from the innocent simplicity of being a newborn.  I am going to try some out for a bit.  So your feedback would be wonderful.   Hadley here looks like she thinks it is pretty cozy;-)
